I move between worlds most people keep separate – between grassroots movements and institutional boardrooms, between rigorous research and the stories that make it matter, between global North funding structures and global Majority leadership.

I believe two ideas can genuinely transform how we navigate the major transitions ahead, and flourish in the 21st century: ecological justice and biocultural diversity which is the idea that biodiversity, linguistic diversity, and cultural diversity form the web of life we call Earth. These ideas shape the work I choose to do now whether as a strategic advisor or through the stories I tell with Black Earth, the storytelling platform I founded.

I hold that conviction publicly too, as a board member of Global Greengrants Fund, and as a Fellow at the Intellectual Forum, Jesus College, Cambridge, where I have space to translate my lived practice into public learning through organising convenings and dialogues. Today I work with clients around the world, living and working from southeast Asia.
